| Hi guys, As some of you may or may not know, I have been recently travelling around the world, and had a fantastic time, and done and seen so many things. Fortunately/unfortunately (for my bank account) I usually pick up a shirt from every country or city I visit. This mindset and a trip round the world is a bad mix as you can see.... ;Vietnam Package Vietnam - Quite a hard place to pick up a local shirt (impossible when I was there!), so hard infact that I got in contact with a Nike Marketing executive to see if she could help me get a shirt. Long story short, curtousy of Nike, I received the following; Vietnam Box Vietnam Shirt Vietnam Shirt 2009-10 (Can anyone confirm this shirt for me, I was actually expecting the same shirt as worn in the SEA Games, where as this is similar to the Belgium home shirt.) Thailand - Picked up these shirts from the FBT shop, beside the National Stadium, in Bangkok. Bangkok Glass Home 2009 Chonburi FC Away 2009 Malaysia - Some of you may be aware of Azmie@switchimageproject.com. This man is a legend! I emailed him about where to buy a local shirt in KL, and he took time out of his day to meet me, and as well as bringing me to the shop, also gave me a tour of the city, and the Johar Shirt for my collection too. Felda United Home 2009 Johar FA Home 2009 Singapore - Again finding S-League shirts was quite hard, and it was in Peninsula that I managed to pick up these, the DMM FC shirt was in Weston, and after tedious searching I found the Home United shirt in the Weston Clearance shop...which was fantastic I might add. So many old, nwt shirts from all over the world. Heaven!! Brunei DPMM FC Away 2009 Home United (Away) 2008 Australia - Big respect to anyone buying football shirts, or any sporting goods as I found Australia to probably be the most expensive country I visited. Two good finds here, and also a pair of Player Issue North Queensland Fury shorts of Terry Cooke. I met the kitman of NQF and as it was the end of the season, managed to blag a pair of shorts! Got to 3 matches in Oz aswell. Melbourne Victory Home 2009-10 Australia Olympic Shirt 2008 New Zealand - Amazing country from every point of view, except in terms of football! They are too mad about rugby, and didnt really feel too much of a buzz for them qualifying for the World Cup. Got in contact with a guy with a shop in Wellington, and he was able to sort me out with a local shirt, Team Wellington. Didnt really want a Wellington Phoenix shirt as they play in the A-League. Got the official league badge direct from the New Zealand FA, still to apply it. Team Wellington Home 2010 Chile - Through Azmie@Switchimageproject I was able to meet a guy in Santiago one night. As well as learning where to go, what to see etc, he pointed me in the direction of one of the best shops I was in on my trip. The guy (although he could speak English) had player issue and match worn shirts from all over the world, including a Northern Ireland Schoolboys shirt by adidas. I have never seen this shirt before, as they are exclusive to the schoolboys. Wall to wall of amazing shirts, all for sale. Universidad Catolica (Home) 2009 Player Issue La Serena Home 2009 Bolivia - A very poor country, but a fantastic country too. What was strange about Bolivia is that in the major cities, all the football shirt shops are all on the same street!! Only problem is that this means that the fakes are mixed in with the real shirts, so it was a bit of a challenge to find official shirts. Went to a Real Potosi match here also, played at 4060m above sea level!! Real Potosi Home 2010 Blooming Away 2009 Peru - Probably my favourite country I visited, if only for the amount of activities I actually done there, with the pinnacle being the 4 day hike to Machu Picchu. Amazing. Here I bought 3 shirts, as I needed a souvenir from Machu Picchu!! (Thats Machu Picchu on the Cienciano shirt...) I also got to a game here also, Universitario vs Alianza Atletico in Lima, where I managed to pick up an old PI shirt. Cienciano Home 2009 (Player Issue) Universitario Home 2010 Universitario Away LS 2009 (Player Issue) Argentina - Probably the most dissappointing country in terms of football shops. Whilst the was plenty of River, Boca and Argentina shirts, it was quite hard to find official printing, and even then you were limited to Messi, Tevez, Aguero and Palermo (actually met him at the Boca stadium!!) and even then some of them where in the wrong style, ie new adidas font on old shirts. Got to a River Plate vs Velez match here, was very good, but the Boca Stadium and club just had much more emotion and meaning for me. Got my Boca shirt from the club shop...if I had went across the road the price was cheaper and there was greater selection (couldnt get the home shirt in my size in the Boca shop!!). D'oh. Had to get the Estudiantes shirt in Uruguay too!! Boca Juniors Away 2010 (Player Issue) Estudiantes Home 2009-2010 Uruguay - Was only really in Uruguay for a day, but this give me the chance to get a shirt that i have wanted for a long time, Penarol!! Remember seeing these shirts being wildly available in Belfast as I was growing up, and Ive always thought of them as being one of the great South American teams. Penarol Home 2010 Paraguay - Again I was only in Paraguay for a day or two really, and it was one of the cheapest countries for football shirts also, probably the cheapest when buying the National team shirt, which unfortunately was the only shirt I could get, as I would have liked to pick up a club side. Paraguay Home 2010 Brasil - Need I say more!! On the downside, Brasil on the whole was expensive, and unfortunately football shirts where no different. I did manage to pick up the Santos shirt on sale at about 1/3 the RRP. On the plus side, all shirts come with a number printed on the back, the only problem being if you dont want this number. Usually its No. 10. Also managed to pick up a Venezuela shirt here, been looking one for a long time, as I think it is one of the hardest, big branded national team shirts to find. Got to a Flamengo vs Uni. Chile match in the Maracana too. A dream come true!! Venezuela Home 2008-09 Brasil Home 2010 LS Santos 3rd 2009 Flamengo Home 2010 Kleberson -15 Thats my hauls so far, luckily I was manage to make some contacts, exchange some email addresses etc that I think I will be able to complete each shirt with official (there is varying degrees of official in South America to be honest!!) number/names and numbers, so when I get them complete I'll update here... and when I get some money again I'll add some more shirts to my latest hauls... | Mate, you will need to put the image's link (the one ending with .jpg) into the [img] tag, instead of the picture's website link.
But very nice shirts there, the Brazil LS is a class!!

Also noticed your Boca away, is it replica or PI? looks like your PU nameset would have to over lap the seams at the back if it's replica. must be careful when laundering then.

I got the Felda United in KL...from Q-Line sports I think, was a shop with loads of bagdes, numbers etc. Not sure which complex its in, and Azmie gave me the Johor shirt for my collection. Need to see what the numbers are like for it (Azmie told me they are different than the rest of the m-league) and need to sort out an M-League sleeve badge too... Any help appreciated...

Its PI, I was a bit worried at the start, but the nameset is a lot sturdier than usual. Its almost like a cardboard or thicker material. I think theres something special about it, as a guy in shop in Chile was telling me its made by the same company who make the Uni. Catolica namesets. They both have a fantastic silver outline on the numbers, you nearly need to see the shirt up close as I dont think the photos do it justice!!!
