| Well, like Sylus said, I won't not want to comment on other collectors / dealers' stuff unless it's a level playing field in which the counter party has a chance to speak up and defend himself. Over the past decade, I have seen enough slanging matches and witch hunting in otherwise soccer shirts forums. What I mean is, if collectors smell a rat and feel discomfort dealing with a counter party, they may avoid such deals as a conservative measure. As always, authenticating shirts is a practical hard matter of facts and we can't over-generalize a seller as good or evil on a totality. | |

| Added on 12 Feb 2012 - alphabet "R" of my A - Z wanted shirts On 5 April 1987, Liverpool played against Arsenal at the Wembley Stadium in the League Cup Final, sponsored then by Littlewoods. Match programme of Littlewoods League Cup Final 1987 Match ticket of Littlewoods League Cup Final 1987 Match action photos extracted from Liverpool Yearbook 1987 It was printed in the match programme that Nigel Spackman and Alan Irvine were the two proposed substitutes of the day. However, in the actual match, player manager Kenny Dalglish (12) and John Wark (14) came to the pitch as the substitutes. Featured above in video clips John Wark wearing a short sleeved number 14 shirt. Liverpool 1987 Littlewoods League Cup Final Player Shirt - Match Spare Shirt of John Wark As usual, Liverpool's cup final shirt carries a special match details embroidery. Shirt number used on the reverse is machine stitched cloth, with adidas motif heat pressed on it. | |

Cheers mate. The 1964-1968 away shirt really comes out from nothing, and I never expect one to come up before. One day in January 2012 I got a cold-call e-mail from a Portuguese collector whom I don't know before. I inspected the detailed photos and compare with a similar one Colin got in his collection and found the features are identical - meaning that the shirt offered to me is authentic. In Chinese, we have a saying of "wealth is derived from risk-taking". I neither know the Portuguese collector before nor I have any traceable background of his deal history & reputation. I took the bet to pay him and awaited for the arrival of the shirt. Finally it proves my risk-taking adventure is justified. More details & story of the 1964-1968 away shirt can be viewed here: http://www.liverpoolkits.com/liverpool1964ap.html Hope that I can pair it up with a home kit of 1964-1968 sooner or later, YNWA! | |

| As aforesaid above, as a gesture of friendship from Liverpool F.C., our local fansgroup manages to get hold of some F.A. Cup Final 2012 shirts with officially embroidered emblem (that is, the emblem is 100% identical to the actual match shirts). They are exclusively offered to us and not for sale to the public. As a sworn promise to our fansgroup, there will be no close-up photos of the embroidery and the reverse of it to avoid cloning. | |
