| Today I went back to Penang and wore both jerseys..
I tell you, it is more comfortable to wear them when they are single layer... Unlike last time when it was thick.

| Jerseyman's hauls from kitbag has arrived! There were 2 packages that came from kitbag using normal Airmail. No signed for was required and no tracking number.. so luckily I was at home. The first package got 3 items: 1. England Umbro Retro Repro kit (Mexico 86) XXL 2. England Umbro Retro Repro kit (Euro 1988) XXL 3. Free England mug Stupid kitbag. I already emailed them straight away after my order, to not include the mug. But they still sent it. Because I was worried that it might increase the weight of the package and get taxed. Luckily it was only 0.6705 kg only, as shown below: And the total price was of course below RM500 la.. only GBP45.60. Here are the 3 items from the 1st package: 1. England Umbro Retro Repro kit (Mexico 86) XXL According to the 'True Colours' guide book, England had their first umbro kit in 1983 after world cup 1982. The design was the same like the kit used in Mexico 86 (as shown below), but for some reason Umbro revamped the same kit used prior to mexico 86 and did some changes. The kit was made lighter and had no chuffs on the sleeves for mexico 86 due to humidity reasons (it's damn hot playing in mexico). So the retro kit is indeed the same like what was described by the book: Oh and it has a number 10 behind it. A good reason for chcher to consider buying it. The material is damn nice.. so soft and light. You can even see through the number 10 from the front. Exactly like player version kit, umbro logo is embroided, FA Crest also embroided (replica kit was embossed back then). I dunno.. maybe this is almost the nearest to player version? Anyway umbro did some other retro repros as well such as the euro 96 kit (to commemorate england's 4-1 win against Holland) and the world cup 2002 kit (to commemorate england's 5-1 win against Germany). Dunno if those kits were like these retro repros (with almost player issue specs). 2. England Umbro Retro Repro kit (Euro 1988) XXL Another retro repro england kit that I just have to get, is this euro kit: It is XXL as well and quite baggy.. just nice. Same collar material like the mexico 86, only difference was that it has a round collar. Just like what captain marvel (Bryan Robson) wore in euro 88. 3. Free England mug Ah.. a free gift from kitbag: Unlike last time when they gave that stupid cricket book, this one didn't cause me extra tax. Maybe the customs are less busy this time around because some of their officers are being brought up by the anti-corruption agency (BPR) in news.. Hehehe.. just joking. Nice mug anyway. Will use it to drink milo while watching england matches at midnight. Ok.. the second package from kitbag was a single order for this nice Manchester United Nike Polo T-Shirt XXL: Surprisingly it came to my home together with the first package. The first package was ordered from kitbag on 1st July while this one was on 3rd July. The package itself was only 0.3kg: Really like the design, the material feels nice. My super wifey also said it feels and looks good. Heheheh.. something she finally agreed on. These 2 packages were delivered to my from the postman who drove a Pos Laju van. Nice bloke, I know him quite well since I've been doing loads of business via ebay. And on the same day, 2 hours later.. another postman that I also know.. abang janggut.. normally rides his EX5 motorbike and sends my ebay packages to my home. Presses his hon 2 times and I'll be at the door if I'm at home. He gave me this latest package that I bought recently from ebay: Scotland Home France 98 XXL A nice Scotland home France 98 kit. I've been looking for this kit for ages. Nice design, saw it during the opening match of France 98 (vs Brazil) This kit has some flaws, the button is almost plain (without the printing) and there should be a shiny 'Only Scotland' logo printed on the bottom left of the jersey, similar to the 'Only Football' logo printed on the bottom left of the Man United 1999 UCL kit. I guess it was ironed off. The seller used Airsure services but I don't like it. It has tracking code but no signed for was requested. The postman just passed it to me.. Luckily I was at home.. So there you have it.. next haul.. My Man United 08/09 away kit set (shirt/shorts/socks). Stay tuned...

| Yup, as Wai Kit highlighted.. it's normal airmail.
But I remember last time one of my orders from United Direct.. same method was used (airmail). I wasn't at home so the postman left a pink card for me to use to collect from the post office the next day. But definitely no tracking number was used.

| Finally my Man United Away Kit 2008/2009 has arrived from kitbag! It was shipped on 17th July 2008 and it arrived today at 25th July 2008. Around one week it has arrived. Jeng jeng jeng.... the package from kitbag. I used Royal Mail and has no tracking code.. It weighs only 0.7kg. Inside the package.. got 3 items. Complete one set. Lets review the items individually.. 1. Jersey 3XL.. big but the material is a bit thin like Man United's 2006/2007 white away kit Size tag near the collars.. sorry the flash blurs the image.. Made in Morocco The price tag 2. Shorts Same material like last season's shorts.. Still got 'bau kedai'.. Size XXL. Made in Thailand The price tag 3. Socks Nice socks And the whole set: I've already bought the new 07/08 Champions badges, so straight away I applied it: Place the badge around 10cm from the edge of the sleeves Iron it! Peel it carefully.. don't ruin the top crown of the lion in the badge, so peel from bottom to top Final results: New Manchester United 2008/2009 with 07/08 Champions badges Next step is to order the ... | |
