| 5 games left and already 10 points ahead of 2nd placed Villareal, the title looks set to stay at the Bernabeu barring a spectacular collapse at Real Madrid. Barca's draw at the weekend gave Villareal the chance to leapfrog over them into 2nd. Maybe a late surge by Barca (sans Ronaldinho) and a major self destruction by Real (sans Nistelrooy)? Scenes of Barca snatching the title from under Real's nose ala last season, when Real came back from the dead and took the title away from the Nou Camp? Interesting developments ahead.... | |

| ermmm.. dun think dat could happen.. real madrid are not that strong and consistent but other team also are not that consistent esp barcelona.. they could not grab the chance to close the gap when real madrid lose.. its gonna be real madrid one more time i think unless a miracle happen like last season.. | |

| Certainly it's gonna be back to back titles for the Merengues. From what I can see, there have been plenty of missed opportunities by Barca to leapfrog Real.
If they didn't take chances in the last couple of months, I highly doubt they will be able to do it with 3/4 games remaining. Worrying about automatic qualification for next season's UCL would be more of a priority now.
Anyway, Real's form hasn't been so convincing neither. At times, it's quite patchy. They're lucky that everytime they stumble, other teams will follow suit as well. But credit must be given when it's due. The Raul-v.Nistelrooy combo this season is definitely a strikeforce to be reckoned with.

| I feel that luck has been with Real this season. every time they slip up, barca or villareal inexplicably lose as well. My money is on Real to win it this year, too much ego going around the Nou Camp dressing room. | |

| yup def looks like Real's too. Barca seem to run out of ideas lately, maybe time for Frank to go?
for all the attacking potential that they have, pretty disappointing that they were not giving Real a run for their money. but i think there's another classico on the way?

| Its Real's title this season, this morning's 2-0 gives them a 10 point lead...Barca not really playing well in La Liga. | |

| Nice to see Ruud still banging in the goals for Real, eventhough he's injured now. Gotta say, he's one of my favorite strikers of all time. | |

| There's a trend though..every time Mu wins their the premier league, Real will go on to win the La Liga. I think this has been continuing for a few seasons i think | |

| It is bound to be a classic come this weekend. Real have got nothing to lose however it would be test period for Barca as they are still involved in all competition. They are set for the treble but the question now is the squad strong enough to do so. Up 1st would be a clash against Chelsea which they would targeting a win as they rested some players last week. Then follow up with the clash against their arch rivals which is not a must win game for them. They could set up to get a draw but whenever you go there with that kind of mindset usually it will have the opposite outcome. | |

| doubt that barca will ever go for a draw... i think todays game with chelsea will be crucial.. if they lose i think it will have a big impact as mentally they might think that since out of the CL they have to win madrid or their season will end up with nothing | |

| If Barca were to get bad results in the next 2 games practically they would only have Copa Del Rey to look for only. It doesn't look to good for their season especially the way how their season started | |
