First leg SF action this week, with the Liv v Che match on 23/4 and Barca v MU on 24/4. Return legs will be on 29/4 and 30/4 with the final on 21/5.

Interesting match-ups, esp with the possibility of an all English final looming again...

bro it's a KO so no points involved. you know the difference or not ah? confused Sweat

anyway, still got 2nd leg to go, but can't deny that Chelsea is in a good position to qualify though.

Ah well, it's a mistake no doubt and gives Chelsea the advantage. But I feel even if it had stayed at 1-0, we still need to score at SB to be safe. Playing for a 0-0 to go thru is risky business especially at SB.

At 1-1, the tie is still finely balanced, just like our game against Arsenal. It will definitely be full of nerves!

i'm racking my brain right now, but i think liverpool hasn't scored in stamford bridge for quite some time now, isn't it?

regardless, chelsea is defo in a better position to qualify (with an away goal) and the second leg being their home leg.

i can't really decide who i want to win. lol.

I think Liverpool has never scored @ SB during Rafa's reign.

Yup, something that the reporters were quick to point out. Guess that will have to change next week! Here's hoping it will!

no away goal eh...a bit worrying for me. i was hoping for a scoring draw...but united should be able to perform at home.

i didnt watched de match as i tertido at 10pm....
ish....

i read from de paper saying Ronaldo missed a penalty kick? OMG... Shocked
kinda wasted for tat penalty n they lost an away goal chance over there...

As for de 2nd leg, they have to work harder in order to keep themselves in track for de final.

Man Utd defended quite well, everything was tight. But ball pocession was 65% (Barca) to 35% (Man Utd). U could imagine where the ball was most of the time, in the United half with Barca attacking.

When United had chances, the ball was either miss passed, overhit or shot off target.

And then the Ronaldo missed penalty, rugi besar...United should have had an away goal.

But i suppose Sir Alex's strategy was to defend and hit back at Old Trafford, which I ope they do so.

Anyway its a job done for United at Nou Camp, although its a bit disappointed for us supporter to watch the game, coz the midfielder really like totally cannot linked up with the front, always mispassed the ball....then I think Rooney has been assigned a different role as well, always see him dropped back to right/left back....but still I think they played it well and very discipline defence throughout the game Smile

A really really wasted penalty that could have make united an away goal advantage for the 2nd leg. with barca controlling the possession, united players worked hard to defend.
frustated ronaldo i can say, as most of his claim for free kick has been denied by the referee.
hopefully the return leg at old trafford will be more promising Yes

One of united boring game, Strange formation, Rooney as Right WInger, ronaldo as lone striker, Hargo as RB.
Complete strange, Park play 1st, better Nani or Giggs play as starting line up.

Lucky Barca dont score, see the statistic, 21 Shoot, Man U only 6, Possesion Barca 65% MU 35%
If only HENRY play from kick off and Messi still play till end, MU Could finished

Not sure what you guys think, but I thought Scholes had a poor game as well yesterday, keep giving freekick, 10 out of his 10 tackles failed....and also seems like cannot handle the pressure from the opponent, rushing to pass the ball up ended losing possession....

I think Henry may have high chance to start at Old Trafford since he played there for many times, and he also look dangerous during yday match.

When I was watching the game, I was also like a crazy person, talking and shouting on the TV myself, "WTF", "OOiii", "shitttt".....etc haha.

Next game should be a totally different game as MU cannot defend anymore, plus Márquez is out hehe !! but Puyol is back :p

I think Mu set out to defend in Nou Camp..everyone seemed to be playing off position to me. Maybe they have been ordered my SAF to catch them on counter attacks. Hopefully Vidic will be back. I somehow find it kinda nerve wrecking to find Brown in the centre. Although this season he's improved tremendously. Overall I'm sure Mu will show their colours this Wed morning. Its anyones game for the taking actually.

I seriously think that SAF got it wrong last weekend, agst Chels. I think that SAF may have thought that if they could get 0-0 at the Nou Camp, thus getting another draw @ SB would be achievable. However, IMO, MU looks a better team when they attack than defend, so maybe the scales would be tipped to their side tonight. Barca will be wo Marquez, but welcomes back Puyol, interesting to see if they could withstand MU's attacking onslaught.

Tonight will be crunch time for United. I seriously hope they bring their A game, which was lacking in the game against Chelsea. Barcelona (Deco especially) have been talking a lot of smack and it's time to make them eat their words. Fingers crossed.
