I got it frm ebay Ian, and yeah the material is not really PU, as mentioned as the texture is pretty uneven on the patch. I'm not really sure how to describe it, but some parts of the patch are actually quite shiny..

I checked the photos of the shirts worn by the players and the seem to be of the same material..really hope it's authentic..(fingers crossed)

Sorry but I have to confirm that your patch is indeed a fake. It should be a a Lextra-mix art cut flock patch made by SportingID. There should beno PU are present on the patch at all. The fakes have indeed tried to make it look authentic by using a kind foil to attempt to trick people into thinking the part that should be Lextra is indeed authentic.
Was this sold to you as a replica or PI kit? There were no replicas of this WCC produced so any embroidery should be DIY apart from PI kit. Looking closer at it I would actually be concerned about the as the actual font of the letters looks slightly off to me compared to mine. They seem just slightly thicher and also there appears to be no gloss finish to the which there should be to give a really bright finish. With the badge being fake and me having serious doubt about the embroidery and then I would be concerned about the actual shirt in general as well I really hope you didn't pay alot for this shirt mate

omg hope you did pay alot for it butt on the bright side its a really good DIY patch... The embroidery i think quite easy to see. Usually the fake 1 can see lines connecting the letters. the original 1 dont have i think .

There is 2 fake versions of this patch. This attempt to make it like Lextra and a fully stiched version as well

I did see alot of these shirts with the Lextra floating around eBay immediately following the WCC tournament in 2005.

I think the same applies for the Man Utd ones, there are afew stil lingering eBay at the moment witht he DIY embroidery and fake ?

I only managed to get one david villa bro and actually I asked my friend to help me get it in SG..he said the stores that he patronize are weston, La Vanita and Premier football..so I think it's either one of these..cost me about 84RM which includes shipping too..Also I think the stocks are diminishing for Valencia so I'm not sure how much more they have left
