| I'm not sure which shirt you're referring to, anyway for 07/09 Home: CWC badge obtained from HoB, from ALI on Sunday. 92/94 Home: Got it all together with the kit, so less hassle for me to look elsewhere... | |

@ treble_1999: Thanks, from a Hong Kong seller via evilbay, I think the embroidery is DIY... Yeah I think it is DIY but not to worry as the shirt looks in top condition as the badge looks very bright and no fading I'm just curious as to where to get the numbering for this as the Umbro logo is unique from all other match shirts as the EPL shirts used the small Umbro wording and the diamond logo whereas the Cup Final shirts used the large Umbro logo and no diamond. Wonder if Wiggy can custom cut it?

| @ treble_1999: I got attracted by the unique-ness of its (without its diamond logo) as it is meant specially for Finals plus other details of the shirt seem visually correct so I decided to try out my luck. As a result I managed to snatch it without major damage... The UMBRO wording is of felt type (felt it with my fingers) and it looked like as though it is part of the number (raised from the number instead of applied on top of it). @ iswandi7: No as I got the shirt via Nike store at a discounted pricing as off season clothing clearance. Plan to try out the embroidery service at BB Plaza as previously mentioned by some taiko at LYN forum but no time... Perhaps one day we can organise a gathering right there and get our embroidery done. Many people maybe can get special rate.. | |

The UMBRO wording is a separate entity. Originally the number 7 is plain. Apply the number 7 first and then the small umbro lettering inside the number. Both are the thin velvet material.. I know who made the .. it must be from homeofbadges. - akkmutd0711 wrote:

I'm just curious as to where to get the numbering for this as the Umbro logo is unique from all other match shirts as the EPL shirts used the small Umbro wording and the diamond logo whereas the Cup Final shirts used the large Umbro logo and no diamond. Wonder if Wiggy can custom cut it? The FA Cup Final embroidery is indeed DIY. These people in Hong Kong somehow have the correct FA Cup Final embroidery template style that was used by umbro and United for the 1994 FA Cup Final, 1995, FA Cup Final, 1996 FA Cup Final and 1999 FA Cup Final. I've seen many jerseys DIYed with that correct embroidery. I wish I had the template or font... so I can DIY it on my jersey as well.. Me and my brother in the past tried the stupid and hard way.. took a photo of the embroidery from my brother's Chelsea 1994 FA Cup Final embroidery, then sent it to a machine and then tried to re-produce it but it's not accurate. The numbering can be produced as well by homeofbadges. Drop him an email and he can produce it for you. Only difference is the small umbro logo inside the number. The jersey is a great catch. But again it was originally the plain replica jersey with the embossed crest, unfortunately there is not a lot of space to put in the FA Cup final embroidery... nevermind.

As far as I know, the good one is at Pertama Kompleks...
The shop is on level 3 of BB plaza which is opposite of the R1 office. Not been there before though.

| @ nimrod2: Agree with you and I'm totally in love to the unique design of 90s kits, they're so different from home to away and GK too. Nowadays because of the lazyness of the current crop of designers makes all jerseys look-alike under the same shirt manufacturer. One word: BoRiNg...
@ redyap: Nice tip, going to try it out.
Thanks guys. | |
