@kewellrulez, hehe....you also not bad yourself wat :p too bad Soccer Central across Central Market sell mostly fakes, if not i might oredi apply to work there
@iswandi, at the moment i still cant say whether it's match worn, match issue, just a normal player issue, or just a regular replica. but for GBP21, even a replica complete with embroidery and is worth it, IMO that's why i decided to just go for it, even though wat the seller said cant be confirmed.
according to Wikipedia, Mcmanaman only played in 1 game during world cup 1998. If anyone can confirm during that match England is using red shirt, then there is a chance it is a match worn shirt. other than that, i cant really confirm.

mcmanaman played in the match vs colombia as a subtitute... he replaced paul scholes in the 74th minute...

@schmeichel, i look through it carefully, and i saw a very small gap at the first M of mcmanaman. But if you dont look at it, when you run your hands over it, it feels as if its 1 piece. no feeling of "valley" like the from wiggy or homeofbadges. other than that, i kenot see it is 2 seperate thing, if it is, then it is a very good qualtity and printed on to a high precision. here's a pic:
@iswandi and devil_nick, yea, the red shirt is worn against Colombia. but what i did not know was did Mcmanaman play in that game? devil_nick gived me a very positive answer, and also substitute at 74th minutes means he plays for around 15 minutes only, maybe that's why the shirt does not look that worn, or mud stain. or maybe it has been laundered. but i still need more proof to be convinced
at now, let it be a PI shirt, as shown by the FA crest

yea, hopefully Michael Yip can confirm it. But then again, during the 1998-2000 era, jerseys are worn to look baggy, rite?

Sorry Brandon but I might take a bet that it's not match worn from the world cup match unfortunately..
Look closely at the england kits in the youtube video... The names are close near the collars. And there's no VAPATECH tag below the collars. I remember seeing player issue kits for these kits (and United's white away kit) has no vapa tech tags below the collars.
The McMANAMAN kit you have, the name is too low from the collars.
It is not 100% confirmed, unless there is a COA (certificate of authenticity)...
Remember, the embroidery can be done via DIY since the font is simple arial font.
Player spec jerseys (player issue) can be make up and touched up to look like a match worn.

hhm yea, Jerseyman is right. then i guess this isnt a match worn then..damn..
but then, wouldnt it be weird for this kit to have a PI FA crest, but still have a VAPATECH tag? oh well, i still get my money's worth anyway, with the and embroidery done so well
the only thing i lost is my bragging rights

As I said.. there are 2 versions of that player issue kit..
Remember, this is the same batch of umbro kits (release in mid 1997) with the Man United 1997-1999 white away kit, Chelsea 1997-1999 home kit, celtic 1997-1998 home kit and Everton 1997-1999 home kit. All these kits has the vapatech tag behind the kit for replica versions.
For the player issue kits (all mentioned above), there were 2 versions for player issue... One is with the vapatech, worn in 1997-1998 season and another is without the vapatech tag and worn in the 1998-1999. For example, the white away kit sometimes has no vapatech tag when worn in the 1998-1999 treble season. I remember when the white away kit was worn for the second time vs Liverpool away at Anfield in the 1997-1998 season (3-1 win, Cole scoring 2 goals), the player issue kits has the vapatech tag. And the same kit had no vapatech tag when worn vs Barcelona home and away in the 1998-1999 UEFA Champions League.
Vapatech tag cannot be used as a criteria to separate it as a replica or player issue.. because umbro is not consistent on this.
But look at it in the bright side.. you got yourself a very rare player issue umbro england kit. For myself, it is very hard to find umbro player issue kit from that period. So that's why I am so happy with my latest haul, the white and black player issue Man United away 1997-1999 shorts. And also, you got it for a very good price. XL some more, can you fit ah wearing it? I sure can..

ic...thanks for the explanation bro. now...if someone can prove that other players use newer batch of jersey, while mcmanaman ws given the older batch
nah, i'm still happy if its a PI kit, for the price i pay for it. If i wear it, looks baggy, have the same effect as those player during that time
