| i'm glad to hear that kaka's transfer to city collapsed... 100 million pounds for a player, even with kaka's quality, is totally ridiculous... my full respect to kaka, money is not everything man!! | |

| If I'm not thinking on Kaka's behalf, I'd like him to join Man City just to see what he can do in the EPL. So many great players in Serie A and La Liga that I'd like to see playing in EPL, and Kaka is definitely one of them. | |

| because berba's statement is clear :- "i want to play for the best club in the world" titles, awards & silverware are the most important things in a footballer's career... u may become the highest paid footballer if u play for a club like city, but are u satisfy if ur club don't even qualify for champions league? no offense for city fans... but i just annoyed by those ridiculous offer made by them... | |

| Great player in Football Manager the game I know! Jokes aside, he's way overpriced for a defender. Hopefully he's got the pace to match the speed of the EPL otherwise he'd be heading the same way as Jan Krompkamp. - devil_nick87 wrote:

| I think he will anchor the City midfield along side Kompany. As both of them shouldn't have a problem to develop an understanding at they have played together in Hamburg previously. | |

| I stopped playing at FM 2007 because it was using too much of my PC's resources! I think the interesting transfers at the moment at the ones going on at Spurs. It seems like a desperation move to bring back the oldies to the club that finished decently in the league under the old Martin Jol regime. Looks who's back today, Chimbonda! Given Robbie's Keane surprise omission from the Liverpool line-up last nite, I am guessing a 12-month loan back to Spurs with a view of a permanent move back to Liverpool. - pyroboy1911 wrote:

| Summary of the big movers:
Jo to Everton (Loan) Keane to Spurs (Permanent) Queresma to Chelsea (Loan) Given to Man City (Permanent) Arshavin (still pending? - see bbc.co.uk report)
On a side note, would like to comment on the Robbie Keane saga. I think Keane's move back to Spurs is justice for the player. I might be a Liverpool supporter but no player should have to go through the mental turmoil and indignity Rafa Benitez put on him.
Rafa vs the Chairman vs the Owners is his own business and other football matters should remain on the pitch. Why did he have to humiliate Keane to make a statement to Rick Parry? Poor poor show.
I hope the man makes a big impact on his return to Spurs and scores alot alot of goals!

| I do agree that the whole Keane situation is mismanaged badly. He was humiliated by being left out of the squad altogether. I think we can all agree on the fact that Keane didn't perform as expected at Liverpool, so maybe he should've been left on the bench. Maybe. But being left out altogether without any explanation is really humiliating for a player of his quality.
Anyway, don't know if it's confirmed but:
Arshavin 13 Quaresma 77
Arshavin apparently has made it just minutes before the transfer window closes. Good for Arsenal, not so for Aston Villa.

| No confirmation of Quaresma squad number yet but it is possible he could get 7 as it is empty after Sheva left so probably wouldn't be 77. | |

| The EPL is one of the best and most lucrative leagues in the world that alot of footballers aspire to play in at some point in their careers. The problem these lads keep forgetting is the weather and the pace of the game in the UK that they cannot adapt to. If you track back historically, Brazilians have played very well in the Spanish Primera Liga (ie. the fat Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Romario, etc). Why? Well, the weather is warmer (closer to Brazil) and the style of play focuses more on skill than speed. Jo is going to have this work cut out for him here in the EPL as his past experiences in CSKA Moscow are not going to help. Robinho is a different thing entirely having come from Real Madrid and more exposed to CL football and playing against big European teams. - faizulazlan wrote:
