Euro 2008 Jersey

I noticed that the is a round patch on the right sleeve and a rectangular black patch on the left sleeve..
cant see properly coz my tv blur...

That is the Euro 2008 logo badge on the right sleeve and the fair play logo badge on the left sleeve. In previous tournament, the fairplay badge used to be a yellow round badge with the wording "FAIRPLAY". Looks like we have a new badge with the word "RESPECT" on it.



From the Regulations of the UEFA Football Championship 2006/08 manual:

Competition logo badge and fair play logo badge
The competition logo badge will be distributed by UEFA to the finalist teams. This badge must appear on the right sleeve of the player's shirt (from the perspective of the wearer_ between the shoulder seam and the elbow. The competition logo badge or any logo incorporated in it may not be used for any other purpose, including commercial or promotional activities.

UEFA will also provide the finalist teams with a UEFA fair play logo badge. This badge must appear on the left sleeve (from the perspective of the wearer) between the shoulder seam and the elbow. The fair play logo badge or any logo incorporated in it may not be used for any other purpose, including commercial or promotional activities.

i noticed only ricardo carvalho is wearing long sleeve jersey...

Surprised to see that they actually did not change the patch from the qualifiers. Very consistent, for once. Was it ever for sale commercially?

for this new template of adidas kits, player version will have empty gap for the while replica once dun have gap...

no gap for LS.

just to stir things up a bit at this forum...

noticed that most players are actually donning player versions during the Finals, esp evident in Adidas' SS shirts which have a gap at the sleeves for the Euro , and PU stripes on the shoulders.

Nike ones are very evident only for Russia Home and Away where there's a gap in front for the numbers. It's never gonna a blank stick-on patch, as you can see from Russia's shirt, the lining is supposed to be embroidered all the way across the body. If a patch is there, then there will be 'waves' per se.

Here's another photo that I found with closed up picture of the Euro'08 badges from a France match-issued jersey. Looks like the badges are lextra type.
