| Maybe what we can do is state our reason in believing which team is gonna be winners? Instead of one-liners? Thank you. | |

| Because I don't support any Euro teams and watch the games as a neutral, my personal opinion is Spain. Spain because they have really developed into a good team with the likes of Torres, Fabregas, Villa, Ramos and Puyol. If they can gel together I bet they will be a good team to watch.
Something funny that I came across while watching Portugal vs Turkey yesterday. Comments on Ronaldo free kick being saved by the Turkey goalkeeper(cant remember his name) in the 1st half: He got a big big finger to the ball. Don't know which finger it was but its a big big finger. -Sheby Singh-

| my money is on one of the traditional big guns ie Italy or Germany. They have the pedigree and this term around i think both have the squads. Both teams no longer relying on old gurads and have fresh legs and renewed motivation. Especially Germany with a point to prove.
Spain i think will not go all the way. The set up is just ....astonishing. Aragones cant seem to realise that Torres needs to be played in quickly in order to utilise his pace and sjill. Instead they like to move the ball around and play slow buildup, and always inevitably passing to their wingers to cross in. That would suit Germany and England perhaps, but i think its a waste. Unless someone else instead of torres is used as the cf.
As for the defending champions, i think their opponents would have studied them thoroughly this time around and wonjt make the same mistakes again. Wont be surprised if they cant even get out of the group However, as with any other tournaments, i still think there would be one or two dark-horses. I fancy Croatia and Sweden for this purely on their capable attacking palyers who are able to turn games around when needed.

| Holland had been unlucky not to win any World Cup although boasting great players, while their last Euro cup is 20 years ago. Spain meanwhile have been the underachievers, their highest position in WC is 4th placed (lost in semis, lost 3rd place playoff), while last won the Euro cup in 1964. It would be great for both teams to meet each other in the final. But i would love to see Holland progress to the final to meet Portugal, then i can see two of Man Utd's biggest heroes this season in action against each other | |

| The draw is such that potential QFs include;
Ger/Cor v Cze/Por
Fra/Hol v Spa/Rus
of which the SFs may look like;
Ger v Por Fra v Spa
and of course the final...Ger v Spa
Very good matches! | |
