agree bro...the rest of the teams might think that they have a better chance to topple Selangor this season...Selangor's attack won't be the same without the Safee...the 'fear' factor is gone...although Selangor have the most national players but i can't see the current forwards have the same standard as safee...the midfield quartet of hardi , safiq , amirul hadi & amri will continue the supply & assist but I doubt that the finishing is there...hopefully rudie & fadzli will raise their game...

it is reported that FAM might sent Nor Shahrul & Khairul Fahmi for trial to J-League clubs...i guess if this is confirmed & both of them is accepted to play in J League then the effect will be more severe to Kelantan Team...but as a Malaysian we should be proud if they are offered contracts to play in Japan...originally Safee is also included but since he is going to Indonesia then i think only shahrul & khairul will go to Japan then...

anyone saw the recent astro awani news? it seems that we have an Australian born player - Brendan Gan playing for Sydney FC in the Hyundai A-League....Brendan Gan is qualified to play for Malaysia through his father ( born in Malaysia) although Brendan is born in Aussie...
Brendan Gan plays as an attacking midfielder & it is reported that Ong Kim Swee - Harimau Muda coach is willing to consider Brendan for an international call up...i think that this guy should be given a chance...if he can bring an added value to the national team then why not?

abt the j-league thingy, i read from kelate.net, no confirmation yet as we speak, but if it do happen, a big loss for kelantan too but like rizq said, we also can be proud of them. mixed feeling weh for me.

and lastly Brendan Gan, read abt him few months back, i tot if he willing to play for national team y not? his preferable position is attacking midfielder but he can also play at both side of wing. plus he maybe used to physical side of the game. a good addition to our national team also.

Good luck to Safee Sali for his new career in ISL with Pelita Jaya...his last match with Selangor will be the Klang Valley Derby match against KL on the 12th Feb...heard that he will be the captain for that match as a mark of respect ( source from FAS website)...farewell Safee...thanks for everything...

I read that he'll earn US$50000 for 6 months play. Not bad at all but how is the quality of a team like Pelita Jaya compared to Selangor? Is the standard any higher?

yup...supposedly there is a transfer fee because Safee is still under contract with Selangor...it seems that the fee is undisclosed...
not sure about the quality of Pelita Jaya though...maybe the ISL is a bit more competitive bcoz of the foreign players that is playing in the league...
the alumni for Pelita Jaya are quite impressive...it includes players like mario kempes & roger milla...

From what I know, it's USD10k per month for Safee, and a USD30k transfer fee for FAS.

monetary wise it is a good move for safee....but I guess that he have a bigger responsibility now...pelita jaya is currently sitting at the bottom of the league standings...so actually safee joins a struggling club at the moment...to early to tell whether it is a wise career move from the biggest team in Malaysia to a bottom table team in Indonesia...

It has been a really intriguing title race so far in MSL...the top 4 teams are only separated by 3 points...with Selangor leading at 23 points , Perak 22 , T'gganu 21 & Kelantan 20.

IMO , the most improved team is Perak led by Akmal Rizal...the recent 4 - 0 win against title favourites - Red Warriors is a testament that they are the main title challengers for this season...

T'gganu should be the dark horses at this moment - quietly climbing up the ladder...

As for the 2 'REDS' - red giants & red warriors - worrying times ahead due to the improvement of other challengers...Selangor have not 'click' as a team yet since the departure of Super Safee...but playing badly but still leading the league is what champions are made of...

For the star -studded N9 team , the season have gone from bad to worse after the recent loss the the Canaries...

It will be a tough game for the Red Giants against the team with the best defensive record...
Perak do also have one of the in-form strikers in MSL - Akmal Rizal...for me the most naturally gifted striker in Malaysia...

Selangor's experience in big games is an advantage though...they know how to win games when the going gets tough...& their winning mentality...they are the back to back league champions after all....

The MSL may be reduced to 12 teams next season ( currently 14 ) & each team might be able to hire as many as 3 foreign players ( at least 1 player from ASEAN)...

I think the main concern on the number of teams reduction is due to tight league schedules ( which IMO not as many as compared to Foreign leagues) plus additional games in other 2 competitions ( FA Cup + Malaysia Cup)...and also the Asian Region Club competition - AFC cup ( but sadly Malaysia does not sent any representative for this year competiton - both Selangor & N9 pull out )...as a result Malaysian teams are banned from competing for next year & can only compete in 2013...

On the foreign players proposal , it should be a good move provided that the teams to ensure that they take in quality players...not just for the sake of having them in the team...

congrats to Terengganu @ 'White Turtles' for their FA Cup win against Kelantan@ the Red Warriors...what a game...The Red Warriors are just seconds away to win their first ever FA Cup title but an OG by Daudsu brings the game to extra time...

Its ok bro...Kelantan have one hand already on the league title...provided that they do not lose against Perak tonite & Selangor beat Felda United....then the title will be decided on the last game of the season...one of the best season so far in terms of title race...

well...i admit that it is a catastrophe for the red warriors...players morale is the main concern now...but on current form plus the home advantage i believe that they will win tonite..and if red giants win also then it will still have to be decided on the final match..unless selangor lose tonite & not forgetting T'ganu...they still have a marginal chance to sneak in provided the top 2 collapse...
