Latest arrival to the Museum right after an Europa League win....both are UEFA competitions player shirts.

Apart from absence of Carlsberg sponsor logo due to "Loi Evin" French broadcasting rule, genuine player shirts' collar position is stitched down, and Reebok motif on chest is simplified to the slashes only.


This shirt was first sold in a charity sportsman auction at Liverpool F.C.
It's fully signed by staff / players then.

Liverpool Legends VS Viking Legends - exhibition match played in Stavanger, Norway in July 2008

Liverpool Legends 2008 VS Viking Legends Match Supplied Spare Shirt - This number 24 shirt was allocated to Jimmy Case. However he did not play on the pitch that day. Nevertheless, this was the actual mach shirt allocated to Jimmy but unworn.


The shirt itself is a 2008-2010 Liverpool home replica shirt (see climacool label at the bottom). Special Liverpool Legends Stavanger 08 logo as well as the Liverpool.no website address are applied on the shirt.



Special sponsors are also found on the reverse.

On 30th May 1984, Liverpool won 5-3 against AS Roma after a penalty shootout in the European Cup Final played in Roma, the opponent's home ground . After Bob Paisley's treble European Cup Winners within five consecutive seasons, Liverpool picked up the big-ear again in 1984 under the new reign of Joe Fagan.



The actual match worn shirt from that night is rare as hen's teeth. One of them is now displayed in the LFC Museum as shown.

Meanwhile Liverpool did release commemorative replica shirt under UMBRO era back then (not the case for European Cup Final 1977 and 1978).



This 1984-released official replica shirt retains features of both replicas & player shirts. In one sense this shirt has the typical texture of the typical 1982-1985 home strip (unlike the actual match worn shirt with woolen inner layer). In another sense, both the Umbro motif and Liverbird are fully embroidered into the fabric like actual match shirts.




Liverpool FC released retrospective version of this European Cup Final 1984 shirt in recent years under the club's own branded garment. However, in my opinion, the 1984-released commemorative replica shirt is closer to the actual match shirt than the modern retro.

The shirt was autographed by the Liverpool legends who participated in the aforesaid competition, and strangely by Paul "Gazza" Gascoigne.

Quite strange that players are issued replica versions for a 1 off final

Vegard Heggem was a great player for Liverpool, sadly he got a bit of hamstring injuries and had to end his career quite early.

Celebrities XI Tsunami Soccer Aid Fundraiser Match Worn Shirt - number 14 Amir Khan




Amir Khan is a British boxer, who was invited to play for the Celebrities XI side. He signed on the reverse of the shirt after the match.


Each player's shirts are produced in a quantity of two pieces. Each shirt comes with a COA signed by the trustees of Soccer Aid (UK) Ltd. One of the signed trustees was former Liverpool player Jason McAteer.

True, the 96 Cup Final shirt is really quite worn. Colin Wright sold it to the ex-owner in such condition and claimed that "Robbie Fowler wore it for jogging and hence it's well worn." (you bet? )
